For the first time in history the State of California has implemented mandatory water cuts. We don’t need to belabor the point about California’s water crisis we’ve all heard enough bad news. The real question becomes “Can anything be done about it?”
I don’t claim to be an expert on water policies or water politics, but I do know what can be done in your home to cut back on water and still have a beautiful garden.
What is Curb Appeal? It means making your home look inviting from the street. There’s lots of advice out there on how to get “Curb Appeal” everything from planting “color” to adding window boxes to adding landscape lighting. Though all these suggestions may be valid and should be done, I think it is a bit too narrow a look.
To me, part of the fun in gardening is discovering the history of plants, how they were used in ancient times and of course how they are regarded in current culture. Since coriander is one of the world’s most frequently-used herbs, let’s start there.
