Santa Barbara Style Hidden Oasis
Santa Barbara Style is all about outdoor living, that is one of the benefits to living in paradise. So when we had the chance to transform what from the outside looked like a “ordinary” house tucked away in a Santa Barbara “neighborhood”, we jumped at the chance. The fact that they were repeat clients of course, made it all the more fun. The house, from the street, looks like every other house on the street. The surprise comes when you walk in the front door. Wow! You are transformed to an entirely new world. Love that when that happens. The clients taste is extremely clean and contemporary and was reflected in every detail of the house. We fell in love instantly.
The backyard is tiny but full of surprises, showing that just because an area is small doesn’t mean it can’t be packed full of everything you want. There is an outdoor kitchen, koi pond and waterfall and even a secret garden. And it’s cozy and beautiful. One thing we paid special attention to was creating beautiful views out of every window and door. Simple, but clean and modern without what using what is normally considered “modern” landscape design. I think you will agree that we succeeded in designing a beautiful Santa Barbara style landscape hidden in plain sight.
